Here’s our ultimate glamping Singapore guide on how to camp out (or picnic) in style
Glamping (“glamorous + camping”) is a burgeoning travel trend that combines the wonders of being outside with the creature comforts of a hotel room. Where else in Singapore can you stargaze then wake up to the sound of waves gently lapping the beach…while sleeping on a plush Queen bed, with aircon?
For a birthday party, romantic getaway, or good old fashioned family bonding, glamping is a unique way to enjoy the out of doors. We love that many of the Singapore glamping companies that have cropped up in recent years also offer picnic setups. Even if you decide you don’t want to camp out overnight, you can still host a unique and stylish party (without having to worry about cleaning up afterwards!).
Glamping is also relatively affordable, with many tents starting from around $150 per night. While most companies require you to apply for an NParks camping permit, it’s actually free, and can be done online or via AXS machine. Glamping is widely available in East Coast Park, with select companies offering additional sites in Pasir Ris Park, Punggol, Sentosa and elsewhere.
